“Search Intensifies for Missing Girl Melodee Buzzard”

Published:

Authorities have revealed new information in the case of Melodee Buzzard, the missing nine-year-old girl who disappeared over two weeks ago. The search for Melodee commenced on October 14 when school officials noticed her prolonged absence.

Upon visiting the family home, police spoke with Melodee’s mother, Ashlee Buzzard, who could not provide a valid explanation for her daughter’s whereabouts. Recently released surveillance footage shows Melodee at a car rental shop in Santa Barbara on October 7, wearing a grey sweatshirt with a wig that altered her appearance.

Ashlee rented a white Chevrolet Malibu and embarked on a three-day road trip from Lompoc, California, to Nebraska with Melodee. The FBI’s Los Angeles Field Office is aiding in the investigation, suspecting that Melodee was last with her mother in Nebraska.

Despite Ashlee’s lack of cooperation, law enforcement is actively searching for Melodee, who is considered at-risk due to her age and extended absence. Authorities urge the public to provide any relevant information that could lead to Melodee’s safe return. Melodee is described as approximately 4 feet, 6 inches tall, weighing 60 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
