Vladimir Putin recently revealed that he deliberately allowed a NATO spy ship to monitor Russia’s latest nuclear missile test to demonstrate the power of their advanced weaponry. Putin emphasized the capabilities of the Burevestnik nuclear missile, dubbed the ‘Flying Chernobyl,’ stating that it outperforms all other missile systems globally. The missile reportedly flew an impressive 8,700 miles during a 15-hour test in the Arctic.
During an event honoring the scientists behind the new nuclear missile systems, Putin praised the precision and reliability of the Burevestnik and Poseidon missiles. He highlighted that even foreign experts, including those on the NATO reconnaissance ship present during the test, could witness the missile’s capabilities without any interference.
Putin also commended the efforts of Russian scientists and workers who developed the missile, designed to operate continuously for extended periods before striking enemy targets. Additionally, he lauded the Poseidon underwater drone, which is powered by an atomic reactor and purportedly capable of generating radioactive tidal waves in Western territories.
Despite the focus on these formidable weapons, Putin mentioned the ongoing development of a new generation of weapons, including nuclear-powered cruise missiles with unprecedented speeds. He emphasized the broader applications of this technology, citing advancements in space exploration, Arctic operations, and potential civilian benefits such as energy provision in remote areas.
However, amidst these declarations, Putin faced challenges as Ukraine reportedly targeted the headquarters of Russia’s elite Rubicon drone unit in the Donetsk region. The strike, carried out by Ukraine’s GUR military intelligence agency using an unmanned vehicle loaded with explosives, resulted in the elimination of Russian officers and operators associated with the Rubicon center.
The GUR described the Rubicon center as a vital component of Russia’s military efforts against Ukraine, emphasizing its significant role in the ongoing conflict. Furthermore, Ukraine allegedly launched attacks on multiple Russian power plants in the Oryol and Vladimir regions, escalating tensions in the region.
