“Trump Condemns White House Shooting, Vows Justice”

Published:

Donald Trump expressed strong condemnation on social media following the shooting of two National Guard members near the White House. The incident occurred while the US president was at his golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida. Trump was briefed on the situation by White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, who confirmed that the White House was on lockdown and closely monitoring the events.

In a social media post shortly after the incident, Trump revealed that the National Guard members were severely injured and had been hospitalized. He vowed that the perpetrator, who was also wounded, would face severe consequences for the attack. Trump’s statement on Truth Social praised the National Guard and other military and law enforcement personnel, expressing solidarity and support for them.

Following Trump’s statement, West Virginia governor Patrick Morrisey initially reported that two National Guard members had tragically lost their lives. However, he later retracted his statement, citing conflicting reports about the guards’ conditions. Governor Morrisey assured that updates would be provided as more information became available and extended prayers to the injured service members and their families.

During a press conference in Washington DC, Mayor Muriel Bowser and FBI director Kash Patel confirmed that the two National Guard members were in critical condition at the hospital. Mayor Bowser described the shooting as a targeted attack, emphasizing the severity of the situation.
