“Manhunt Underway After Fatal Shooting at MGM Casino”

A manhunt is in progress after a shooting occurred at a casino complex, resulting in one fatality and another person being injured.

The incident took place at the MGM National Harbor Hotel & Casino in Oxon Hill, Maryland, with Prince George’s County Fire and Rescue responding around 12:20 pm local time. Authorities arrived at the scene promptly, stating that the shooting was not a random act and confirming the death of one individual.

According to George Nader, the chief of police in Prince George’s County, the victim was targeted while ordering food, with the suspect immediately opening fire before fleeing in a vehicle. As a precaution, the area was put on lockdown, including some nearby schools, although the suspect is not believed to be on foot in the community.

During a media briefing, Chief Nader disclosed that the victim, a male in his twenties, was specifically targeted rather than being a random victim. The food court within the casino was the only affected area, and the rest of the hotel and casino remains open to the public.

Authorities have confirmed the death of one man and are actively pursuing the suspect who fled the scene. The investigation is ongoing, and police have reassured the community that there is no immediate threat.
