“Trump Dances to ‘YMCA’ at FIFA World Cup Draw”

Published:

Donald Trump was in a jubilant mood at the FIFA World Cup 2026 draw in Washington, where he was caught on camera sharing a playful moment with his wife, Melania. The 79-year-old President was seen grooving to the music at the John F. Kennedy Center as the Village People performed ‘YMCA’, expressing his joy at the performance.

Notably, Trump interacted with various dignitaries during the event. He mentioned to Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney and Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum that he had missed previous performances. Turning to FIFA President Gianni Infantino, Trump expressed his happiness at the performance, indicating how much he had missed it.

At one point, Trump gestured towards Melania, encouraging her to join in more actively with the performance. Known for his YMCA dance moves, Trump has a history with the song, as the Village People performed live at his inauguration earlier this year.

Receiving the inaugural FIFA Peace Prize, Trump was seen celebrating with the audience, including a sing-along with Melania. The event also featured performances by Robbie Williams and Lauryn Hill.

Reflecting on his peace award, Trump expressed gratitude for the recognition and highlighted the impact of his administration on global peace efforts. Additionally, FIFA President Infantino praised Trump for his dedication to promoting peace and unity worldwide.

Amidst the festivities, Trump humorously suggested that the NFL might consider rebranding itself, emphasizing the difference in terminology between American football and soccer. The event was attended by celebrities like Kevin Hart and Heidi Klum, adding to the festive atmosphere.
