While he still requires assistance for movement as he cannot walk, he is no longer confined to a bed and can be transported by caregivers and medical staff.
There are no indications of Locked-in Syndrome in Schumacher, a condition where individuals are conscious but can only communicate through eye movements. A source close to the family mentioned that while Schumacher’s ability to comprehend is limited by his inability to communicate verbally, there is a belief that he grasps some aspects of his surroundings.
Maintaining a low profile, Schumacher’s family primarily resides in their residence in Gland, Switzerland, overlooking Lake Geneva. They also spend time at a mansion in Majorca, acquired by Corinna from Real Madrid’s president. In an attempt to exploit the family’s privacy, three individuals were convicted in 2025 for attempting to extort €15 million by threatening to leak personal photos, videos, and medical records of Schumacher.
