It has been a year since the untimely passing of Liam Payne, and law enforcement is still reviewing 800 hours of CCTV footage related to the death of the One Direction member.

The singer-songwriter, known for his success with the popular group One Direction, tragically passed away on October 16, 2024, following a tragic fall from his third-floor hotel room balcony.

Born in Wolverhampton, Liam was 31 years old when he passed away in Buenos Aires, Argentina, far from his family and young son Bear, whom he had with singer Cheryl. The incident garnered immense emotional tributes from fans worldwide, with vigils held in various cities to honor Liam’s memory.

In the following month, close acquaintances bid farewell to Liam at a private funeral in Saint Mary’s Church, Amersham, Buckinghamshire. The funeral featured a poignant ‘Daddy’ floral arrangement, symbolizing the personal loss felt away from the public eye that had accompanied Liam’s career.

In January 2025, a UK inquest determined Liam’s cause of death to be polytrauma, resulting from multiple bodily injuries. Additionally, a toxicology report revealed the presence of cocaine, alcohol, and prescription antidepressants in his system.
