Virgin Media has introduced a significant update to its television packages, now including an enticing offer that rivals Sky. The telecommunications company has revamped its primary TV and internet plans, unveiling new titles, rates, and benefits.
The lineup starts with the M125 Fibre Broadband + Flex plan at £30.99 per month, featuring over 150 television channels and 132Mbps fiber broadband on a flexible 30-day rolling contract. While this option allows for no long-term commitment, customers might discover better value in Virgin’s 24-month contracts.
Virgin has recently launched the Entertainment bundle at £36.99 per month, providing access to more than 200 channels, including select Sky channels and all essential free-to-air channels, alongside 362Mbps fiber broadband. The standout feature is the complimentary Netflix subscription included in this package.
Previously, Netflix was only bundled with Virgin’s higher-priced plans. This move brings Virgin on par with Sky, which already incorporates Netflix across all its TV offerings.
Additionally, Virgin has unveiled tailored plans for movie enthusiasts and sports aficionados, including the Cinema bundle at £46.99 and the Sport bundle at £59.99. These packages offer over 200 regular channels, Sky Cinema or eight Sky Sports channels covering Premier League, Golf, F1, and more, as well as 362Mbps broadband and Netflix.
For those desiring a mix of sports and movies, the Sport + Cinema bundle at £69.99 combines these options with faster 500Mbps broadband. The Max Volt bundle at £84.99 offers the same features but boasts ultra-fast internet speeds of up to 1,130Mbps.
Moreover, the Max Volt bundle includes an O2 Classic Plan SIM with unlimited data, minutes, and texts, and roaming in 75 destinations. Customers also get O2 Extra, which offers a choice between a complimentary three-month subscription to Amazon Prime or Disney+.
However, there is a caveat as Virgin has adjusted its mid-contract price increase policy. Starting from April 2026, customers may anticipate an additional £4 per month on their bills.
As a result, the £36.99 package will escalate to £40.99 from April 2026 and further to £44.99 from April 2027. Virgin is not alone in this annual price adjustment, with Sky raising its TV and broadband rates by 6.2% earlier this year.
While Sky has yet to confirm its 2026 price adjustments, it does offer more budget-friendly TV deals for shoppers seeking upgrades without altering their existing broadband service. Sky’s packages now begin with the Essential TV bundle priced at £15, featuring over 100 channels, including Sky Atlantic, not available with Virgin. Additionally, Sky includes complimentary subscriptions to Netflix and Discovery+ with each package, including the popular Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle priced at £35.
It’s important to note that Sky mentions the prices of its 24-month contracts are subject to potential changes during the minimum term.
