A 12-year-old girl’s mother shared that her daughter has undergone a significant transformation after enduring a disturbing 72-hour rape ordeal following a kidnapping incident at an Asda parking lot. Kevin Horvath, Ivan Turtak, and Ernest Gunar were sentenced to jail after being found guilty. The girl was coerced into their vehicle at an Asda car park in Dover, Kent, where she was given drugs like crystal meth and amphetamine and subjected to sexual abuse.
Prosecutors revealed that the young victim was mistreated at three different locations before managing to escape on August 13. The abuse she suffered was described as callous and degrading. The girl’s parents expressed their devastation, noting the drastic change in their daughter’s behavior since the incident. They highlighted her withdrawal and fear, emphasizing how she now avoids leaving the house alone.
Despite the traumatic experience and the challenging process of providing evidence, the girl exhibited remarkable bravery. Her mother recounted the harrowing moments of fear and anxiety before giving her testimony. The mother commended her daughter’s courage in escaping the perpetrators, despite the threats made against her life. Turtak and Horvath received 17-year prison sentences with an additional three years on extended licence, while Gunar was sentenced to 19 years with an additional three years on extended licence.
