Under the new Returning Member Program, Koepka is the first to utilize this opportunity, designed for players who have clinched a Major or The Players Championship since 2022. The initiative also extends to notable players like Bryson DeChambeau, Jon Rahm, and Cam Smith until February 2, bringing back top-tier talent to the PGA Tour.
Despite acknowledging that some players loyal to the PGA Tour may harbor resentment towards his swift return after departing LIV Golf on December 23, Koepka, now ranked No. 244 globally, is set to make his reentry at the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines on January 29.
Expressing a blend of nerves and anticipation, Koepka admitted to feeling a bit uneasy about the upcoming challenges that extend beyond golf. He is prepared to face media scrutiny, interactions with fellow players, and navigate potentially difficult conversations.
