“MegaTrends Powers Merchandise for N.L. Summer Games”

Published:

Thousands of individuals gathered in Corner Brook this week to partake in the 50th edition of the Newfoundland and Labrador Summer Games. A local establishment, MegaTrends, took charge of producing all the event merchandise.

MegaTrends, a business in Corner Brook specializing in embroidery, screen printing, and signage, crafted numerous T-shirts, 3,000 lanyards, and approximately 1,400 medals for the occasion. Owner Rob Marche expressed to CBC News that while fulfilling this order was challenging, it was also enjoyable, highlighting the essence of entrepreneurship.

Having been in the T-shirt printing industry since the early 2000s, Marche described the experience of creating merchandise for the event as both crazy and gratifying. Witnessing attendees adorned in T-shirts featuring the N.L. Games logo brought a sense of humility and pride to Marche.

Marche emphasized the significance of wearing the event merchandise, stating that it instills a feeling of unity and belonging among participants. Anticipating the high demand, he launched an online store weeks prior to the games to manage the influx of orders efficiently.

Despite the overwhelming number of orders, Marche credited the efficiency of his automatic screen printer for streamlining the production process. However, he acknowledged that none of this would have been possible without the dedicated MegaTrends team, whom he commended for their hard work and contribution.

For those interested in the behind-the-scenes process, a video feature capturing the making of the merchandise for the N.L. Summer Games is available for viewing. The involvement of MegaTrends in producing the event’s sweaters, shirts, lanyards, medals, and pins was showcased, underscoring the significance of their role in the event.
