A social media personality known as the “human Barbie” was discovered deceased and partially unclothed at the residence of a government official.
Barbara Jankavski Marquez, aged 31, was tragically found dead following an incident where a 51-year-old public defender confessed to engaging her for “intimate services” the preceding evening. The official, residing in the same house where the deceased influencer was located on Sunday, alleged that they consumed substances together, after which she experienced coughing fits and eventually fell asleep while they watched television in Sao Paulo’s Lapa district, Brazil.
The official stated that he attempted resuscitation efforts for approximately nine minutes upon realizing she was unresponsive before contacting emergency services.
Medical responders declared the influencer deceased around 9pm, noting that she was lying on her back with only undergarments, a wound near her left eye, and marks on her back.
A female associate of the public defender, aged 43, informed authorities that she was present at the residence earlier that day but not at the time of “human Barbie“‘s demise. She recounted witnessing the influencer slipping and injuring her eye around 4am.
Law enforcement disclosed that the incident was classified as a suspicious death, with further investigations pending forensic and toxicology reports to ascertain the cause of death.
Both witnesses are scheduled for additional interrogation according to investigators, and family members of the influencer will also be interviewed as part of the ongoing probe.
