“Trump and Putin to Meet Again in Budapest Amid Gaza Deal Tensions”

Published:

Donald Trump has announced that he and Russian leader Vladimir Putin are scheduled for another in-person meeting following their previous controversial encounter earlier this year. The two presidents engaged in a phone call where they discussed trade and the conflict in Ukraine. Despite recent statements by Mr. Trump threatening the agreement he facilitated between Palestine and Israel, the leaders agreed to meet, with high-level advisors set to convene next week before the actual meeting in Budapest, Hungary. President Trump disclosed these details in a lengthy post on Truth Social. Hungary was chosen as the meeting location possibly due to its leadership ties, especially with Prime Minister Viktor Orban being seen as a Putin ally and having strong connections with US conservatives. The meeting news coincided with Mr. Trump mentioning Putin’s congratulatory remarks on the Middle East peace achievement and the potential positive impact on ending the ongoing conflict. Despite this, Mr. Trump had also issued warnings regarding the fragile Israel-Hamas deal, stating that if Hamas deviates from the peace terms, action will be taken.
