A man who suffered a severe injury in a forklift accident expressed gratitude towards his wife for her exceptional support. Loren Schauers, who was only 18 years old at the time of the incident that resulted in the lower half of his body being torn off, has been on a challenging journey of recovery since then.
Recently, Loren took to his Instagram to publicly acknowledge his wife’s tremendous effort in assisting him. He praised her for her unwavering support during a difficult time, particularly when she helped him resolve technical issues with his computer.
In a post shared on Thursday, Loren shared a photo of his wife, Sabia, diligently working on fixing his computer. He expressed his profound appreciation for her actions, thanking her and showering her with affectionate emojis.
Loren’s admiration for his wife goes beyond the computer repair incident. He described her as “superhuman” in his caption, emphasizing her role in his life. Additionally, he shared pictures of their two cats, humorously mentioning their curious behavior while he tested his computer.
The life-altering accident occurred in September 2019 during Loren’s work on a construction site, where a forklift malfunctioned, causing a massive fall that severely injured him. Despite the traumatic experience of losing the lower part of his body, Loren managed to survive with courage and resilience.
Loren, now 24 years old, has embraced life post-accident and is supported by his wife, Sabia, throughout his recovery journey. Despite initial doubts from doctors about his survival, Sabia’s steadfast presence and his family’s support motivated Loren to persevere.
Reflecting on the decision to undergo the amputation, Loren expressed gratitude for the unwavering support from his wife and family, emphasizing that choosing life over death was clear to him due to their love and care.
