Chilling text messages have unveiled the turmoil and alarm surrounding the demise of Martha Nolan, a prominent fashion designer, while she was on a yacht in New York.
Nolan had visited the Montauk Yacht Club in the Hamptons on August 5 to meet Christopher Durnan, a wealthy insurance executive, to discuss potential funding for her fashion brand. According to reports from New York Magazine, Durnan suggested discussing additional financial support if needed.
After leaving the dock on his fishing vessel to enjoy champagne and watch the sunset, Nolan ceased communication with her friends. Worried, they utilized the Find My app to track her location, which indicated her phone was at sea in the Atlantic. A friend humorously remarked about her phone being dead or the possibility of a tragic event.
Responding ten minutes later, Nolan mentioned she was at the yacht club with her phone on, marking the final contact before she was discovered unconscious on a friend’s yacht. Simultaneously, witnesses observed Durnan running naked on the dock, seeking assistance and throwing sunscreen at a passing boat.
